How it works

Wins and losses

Losses and wins are settled differently. A loss costs exactly the loss. A win passes through three steps before it is paid, and bigger moves keep a larger share.

Winning closes

Raw gainmove × position value
Deadbandexit moved back by 0.92 bp of entry
Impactshare kept grows with the move
Win fee2%
Paidnow, or queued

The haircut depends on the size of the move, not the size of the position: a $100 and a $100,000 winner on the same move keep the same share. The full formula is in Asymmetric impact.

Losing closes

Raw losscapped at your margin
To the poolthe rest of your margin comes back
Rebate tokensminted on the pool's gain

You pay the loss and nothing more. When nobody is waiting in the queue, 2% of the pool’s gain leaves the pool as a fee, split between stakers and the development fund; it is never added on top of your loss. While claims are queued the fee is skipped and the whole loss pays the queue.

What a winner keeps

Share of the raw gain paid after deadband, impact and win fee (tick rounding ignored).

Why asymmetric

Because the pool fills any size at the mid, tiny favourable moves would otherwise be free money for anyone who can see them coming. Charging only winners, and charging small wins the most, removes most of that edge while leaving real directional trades nearly whole.
