How it works

The pool and the payout queue

The pool is Toro's single USDC balance for settlement. It starts at zero, grows from losses, and pays winners. When it is short, winners are paid in order from a queue.

The pool

  • It starts at $0. There is no seed money and no deposit function.
  • Losses and liquidations credit it; winning closes are paid from it.
  • Above $5M of tracked gain, the surplus is swept to stakers.

The payout queue

If the pool cannot pay a winner in full, the shortfall becomes a claim at the back of a first-in, first-out queue. Margin is never queued: it comes back at close. Every later loss pays the claim at the front first, and anyone may trigger more queue payments.
