Under the hood
Solvency and the queue
The pool's books are three numbers: cash, the claims in the queue, and their difference. Cash can never go below zero; the difference can.
The model
cash ≥ 0 // USDC the pool holds in the Vault
queued = Σ unpaid claims
net = cash − queued // may be negativeWinning closes
- Margin returns at once, always.
- With an empty queue and enough cash, the payout is paid and the win fee leaves to stakers and the development fund.
- Otherwise the unpaid payout joins the back of the queue and the fee stays in the pool.
Losing closes and liquidations
- Empty queue: the loss is credited and 2% of it leaves as the fee.
- Queue waiting: no fee; the loss pays claims from the front, a bounded number per transaction.
Processing the queue
processQueue(n) is permissionless and unpaid: it pays up to n claims from the front while cash lasts. The keeper calls it whenever cash is available. The surplus sweep to stakers never runs while a claim is waiting.
What you see
Your claims, their place in line and the amount owed ahead of each (ToroLens claimsOf), shown in the portfolio.
